A netizen writes an open letter to National Union of Journalists of the Philippines after the said group slammed President Rodrigo Duterte’s statement against the two big media companies.
Mr. Ram MG Labra, slammed the NUJP’s statement against President Rodrigo Duterte and he questioned if the group really practiced what they preached.
Labra questioned if the NUJP is really promoting fair reporting and he rebutted the recent statement of the group.
He believes that if NUJP really did their job to spread right information to the people, why they didn’t conducted any research about the worsening illegal drug problems of the past administration.
Labra wrote that NUJP must investigate the journalists first before releasing an statement against the President.
He also claimed that some journalists already lost their credibility after their alleged biased reports against President Rodrigo Duterte.
The NUJP also failed to dig deeper on the recent statement of Duterte and they only focused on the curses of the President against them.
Labra also believes that it’s easier to accept a foul-mouthed person standing the truth than to accept people pretending in truth but servants of lies and deceit.
This is the whole open letter of Mr. Labra:
To the National Union of Journalists in the Philippines (NUJP)
Dear NUJP, your statement is getting better to slap your own faces.
Bago kayo naging journalists, you are first Filipinos. Right? Kahit mamatay kayo sa pagiging journalist, Filipino pa rin kayo, tama? Bago natin pag-usapan ang pagiging journalist ninyo, ANU NAGAWA NINYO SA BAYAN BILANG MAMAMAYAN?
Now, ikonek natin sa propesyon ninyo, BILANG JOURNALISTS, anu ang naiambag ninyo sa bayan ninyo? Ipahayag ang katotohanan sa bayan na walang pinapanigan at walang pinoprotektahan? Segurado kayo?
Dahil;
1. Kung ginampanan ninyo ang inyong propesyon, bakit di kayo naka tulong sa pagtuklas sa napakalawak at napakalalang problema sa druga sa bansa!
Asan ang mga researches ninyo nito noong panahon ng nagdaang ADMINISTRASYON? Nasaan ang mga walang humpay ninyong mga Banat sa broadcast media at print media ukol dito para magimbal ang nagtutulog-tulugang Pnoy Administration.
Hindi ba kaagapay kayo sa paglinang at pagporma ng isang mapayapa, ligtas at maunlad na bayan? Pero, tikum kayo na parang walang Alam sa napakalaking problema ng druga? Kung kayo taga sigaw ng katotohanan,
Bakit itong katutuhanan ng druga ay di nyo isinigaw ng isinigaw kung may tunay kayong malasakit sa bayan noon? O Alam nyo ngunit tikum baka dahil sumuporta kayo o takot kayong isigaw ang katotohanan dahil takot kayong mawalan ng trabaho o mamatay!
2. Walang pinapanigan? Neutral? Panig kayo dapat sa common good, common welfare, common interest ng bansa. Walang pinapanigan? Meron! Lagi kayong panig sa sarili ninyong opinion, ginawa ninyo ang lahat salita ng Pangulo na subject sa sarili ninyong interpretasyon. Bago ninyo papanigan ang ABS-CBN at Philippine Daily Inquirer, nag sasaliksik ba kayo sa kaganapan?
Kung kaming ngang hindi journalist ay nakita namin noon pa ang hindi neutral ngunit bias na pagpapahayag patungkol kay Pangulong Duterte ng mga ito mula noong panahon ng kampanya hanggang ngayon, KAYO PA KAYA na propesyon nyo kamo yan? O Alam ninyo ngunit dahil ka-industriya ninyo, without considering the real spirit of genuine journalism you backed up them up right away.
3. Yes, walang makakapigil sa inyo sa paghatid ng impormasyon sa “BAYAN”, ang tanong isa lang: MAY TIWALA PA BA ANG BAYAN SA INYO? MAY KRIDIBILIDAD PA BA KAYO SA TINAWAWAG NINYONG BAYAN, ngayong bayan na mismo ang nakakakita na ang main stream media na ito ay noon pa’y BIAS.
4. Kung nasaktan kayo sa pagmumura ng Pangulo sa ABS-CBN at Philippine Daily Inquirer, for certain the best and proper reaction of the an intelligent journalist is to first question why and then find out why, then give the balance and neutral conclusion.
But for the intrinsically bias journalist, they stick to the cursing and being foulmouthed of the President, made these as the focal point of their reaction and eventually avoid to dig the bottom line, avoid to dissect the cause and root cause of the issue.
5. Being foulmouthed and the cursing of the President is given so as your being bias. Now, which is which for the people? We accepted the President as he is, but NOT your BIASES.
Because it is easier to accept foulmouthed person standing in truth, and for the truth THAN TO ACCEPT people pretending in Truth but servants of lies and deceit.
